Submit your blog to google

You can submit your blog to google using this Web master tool. the process is simple. Google will provide you a meta information and you have to put the code snippet in the header section of your web site. This will assure google that you are the owner of the site. But i found a problem during working with my blog. The code snippet provided by google is as follows

                   <meta name="verify-v1" content="your key asdfghjklop" > 

I put this code snippet at the end of my blog's head section. But when i went to save my template i got bad format XML error. and that is obvious. The code snippet doesn't end properly. With a very basic knowledge of HTML I added a forward slash before the ending angel bracket. and it worked..
